7. In some countries, teenagers have jobs while they are still students. Do you think his is a good idea? Support your opinion by using specific reasons and details.

There is a general controversy today over the issue of students' having part-time jobs. Those who object to it argue that the primary task of students is study and that part-time jobs will distract students from studies; but people who advocate it, on the other hand, claim that part-time jobs can not only provide lots of opportunities to students but also bring about some substantial interest. As far as I am concerned, I am in favor of the opinion that teenagers should have jobs while they are still students. My position will be substantiated greatly by the following discussions.

To begin with, no one can deny that students can gain a lot of experience and knowledge from real work, which they cannot get from books, and apply their knowledge from books to reality. On the one hand, students will learn to assume responsibility during the process of working. Responsibility is clearly assigned to each employee at work, while it is not emphasized to every student in school. One recent investigation conducted by three scientists at a national institute reveals that students who have been engaged in some part-time jobs demonstrate more intensive sense of responsibility than those not. On the other hand, part-time jobs provide a good opportunity for students to apply their theory knowledge to the practical operation. For instance, students learn from books the principle to plan and arrange routes from place A to place B most efficiently. This principle can be used in the job of newspaper delivery, which covers a series of spots in one district. With the information from books, students will do the jobs more effectively, and at the same time, with the experience from jobs, students will understand the theory in books more profoundly.

In addition, another advantage of having part-time jobs is that it can relieve the financial burden of parents. As we all know, the tuition fee and living cost are increasingly rising. Consequently, the expense of education for children has accounted for a large portion of the income of families. Earnings from part-time jobs can undoubtedly alleviate the stress of parents. What's more, as a member of a family, each teenager should share the cost of their own expense. Take one of my friends for example; he works as a typist in a company after school three times a week and earns 150 dollars per month. This amount of money can cover his living cost in school, and it certainly saves a lot for his family. This situation is not unique; it is typical of dozens I have ever heard.

Admittedly, superior as students' having jobs is, it brings its own problems too. For one thing, it may occupy some time which can be used to relax or stay with family. For another, it could distract students' attention from study. Yet these are not unsolvable. Teachers and parents can guide the students to guarantee that the time spent on jobs is moderate and won't exert negative effects on their life and study. When the advantages and disadvantages of part-jobs are fully compared, the most striking finding is self-evident.

To sum up, taking into account all the factors discussed above, we could safely come to the conclusion that it is a good idea for the teenagers to have jobs.

So here comes a question for me: If I were the boss of a big company, should I value an experienced worker demanding a high salary or a inexperienced one with a low pay? Contrary to the opinion of many people is my heartfelt agreement with the idea that hiring an inexperienced worker at a lower salary benefits a lot.

First of all, it will absolutely save me lots of money if I choose unskilled employees for my new business. For instance, I just have to spend 1 or 2 thousand dollars on their pre-work training, which is far from the money I give to a skilled one per month counting to around 5000 dollars. Moreover, after they got the training, they are certainly approbated for the professional jobs and can lead the company to a high profit, which fits the goal of every enterprise: pay the least, get the most.

Another reason I select an inexperienced worker is that I have not to be scared about their sudden leaving. I ever came across such an event from my friend, who is a CEO of a small software exploration company. In the very beginning, in order to run it well, he got an experienced worker in charge of the new program. However, left without leaving a message just short after the project starts, the manager causes the failure of the business angering my friend. So just think about this: I get someone new, train him, then make a concrete contact with him restricting a rule not allows him to leave in at least 3 years since the contract carries out. What is the result? Undoubtedly, I can be in a much safer place.

What's more, experience can be acquired during the job. By 2007, a survey shows there are still 78% of its population are the rural people whose basic needs are not the highly-developed equipments or highly-cost digital products but three good meals a day and the most fundamental medical care. In the rural areas, the people can not afford to receive basic education and basic medical care when they are sick. In central China province Henan, there is a AIDS village which is famous for its 100% AIDS population, the people like us will never figure out how they suffer. What is responsible for this severe phenomenon? I think it should be the low input of the money on the medical facilities there. Accordingly, I think the governments should and must spend as much money as possible on more basic needs of the people.

Second, in my opinion, spending as much money as possible on the basic needs has a vital effect on the country itself. Judging a country not only depends on its annual GDP but also on the other aspects such as how much do the citizens like the country. Only with the more and more money spent on the basic needs met with the people, they will like and support the government. There is an old Chinese proverb to describe the relationship between the government and its citizens: Water can hold a boat and also overturn the boat. If the boat wants to cruise smoothly or runs fast on water, it must learn to respect the water carries it which is like the basic needs of the citizens. So if China or any other countries want to advance more quickly than before, they must first meet the basic needs of the citizens.

In contrast, spending as much money as possible on developing or buying computer technology has its active effects too. In so doing, there will be more computer technology centers and more computer scientists. As we all know, computer technology roots in every part of modern society, so it is an excellent fuel to spur the country's advance in diversity of industries.

From what has been discussed above, we could draw the conclusion that spending money on both fields has its different advantages, however considering the present situation, I prefer to vote for spending as much money as possible on the basic needs.

First, basic to any understanding of the course of life is birth, becoming older, sickness and death. From birth to death, the fact that can not be denied is a person will not get rid of suffering a great deal of sicknesses in which much money must be spent on treating the sicknesses. In spite of the unfortunate and occasional issues of sicknesses, getting educated, purchasing a house, owning a car, raising children and numerous things will definitely need a great amount of money. As for me, paying the rent fee seasonally for a house is a heavy load which I was not aware of, so I had spent a lot of money on indulging myself for bars, fashionable garments, delicious and expensive food before the deadline of payment, eventually I found my wallet empty and could not afford the rent fee, suddenly I found life was really a struggle for me. Since then, I always told myself saving money for some time was not only out of fashion but also quite necessary.

Second, saving money for some time can make a person enjoy a better life in the future. In the economic textbook, the rational financing method is earning money, investing money and spending money for enjoyment. Therefore, the ultimate goal of earning money is for a better life. My definition of an ideal life is living in a large, beautifully adorned lake-side house with a swimming pool and pretty grass and driving a BMW M5 sports car, however, now I am living in a 45m square house and riding a low-cost bicycle, yet, this poor situation never depressed me because I realized that through my hard working and saving money, approximately 10 years later, my dream will come true.

On the contrary, enjoying money when they earn also has some advantages. In doing this, they can find a great sense of achievement and the life is really delightful.

In conclusion, in my opinion, although enjoying money when they earn has some advantages such as a sense of achievement, saving money for some time is far more advantageous than enjoying money when they earn for it can reveal a person's wisdom of the brutal life and make a person enjoy a better life in the future. Hence, I support saving money for some time.
